Grass Roots Volley hand selects the best local volleyball players and then encourages them to gather experience in the coaching field; in order to give back to the game that has affected their lives in so many different ways. All of our potential coaches are recruited by the founders (FOG Technical Director and FOG Coordinator) and the prerequisites are the following:
- The individual must have either played or be currently playing in the the CCAA (Canadian College Athletic Association) or the CIS (Canadian Inter-University Sport) and some have even played professionally overseas and/or with Team Canada.
- The individual must express some interest in coaching the game at some point in the future.
- The individual must be deemed to be responsible, professional and courteous at all times.
- Coaches are expected to engage with the players and offer player-hardened advice and tips to coach them in an area of their game.
